Vacuum

Vacuum is a project created in the 2nd year of my study Game Design & Development for the Utrecht School of Art & Technology. The assignment only indicated that the game should focus on spacial challenges, and on how environment interacts with gameplay.

Created to blow away all competition visually and gameplay-wise, the project centered around a disabled spaceship after an asteroid-impact. Playing the lone survivor of the catastrophe, the player has to employ the frictionless environment to jump through the spaceship.

Vacuum was completed in November 2009.

Screenshots Feedback The game was received with unanimous praise for ambition and graphics. While the project came in 2nd in the assignment, feedback generally indicated that this was the strongest project made for the assignment.
