Awesome Shield Story

Created for the Sell It!-project at the Utrecht School of Art & Technology, this concept was created to cater platform-gamers on the iPhone or iPod Touch. Using the multitouch capabilities of the iPhone to their full extent, the Awesome Shield Story boasts accessability in both gameplay and visuals.

In the Awesome Shield Story, the player has two basic abilities: jumping by tapping on the player, or rotating the shield around the player by dragging. By dragging the shield to various positions relative to the avatar, it can be used (besides as a shield) as weapon, parachute, glider or surfboard.

The Awesome Shield Story was completed in September 2009.
